January Wrecker's Race
Results
Inclement weather forcasted with heavy winds
did not stop a brave and determined fleet in the first race of the
Schooner Wharf Wrecker�s Cup Race Series. It was perfect conditions for
the Schooners in the regatta with a steady 18 knot wind gusting to 26
knots. The seas were a beautiful roiling milky green with 4-5 foot
rollers. Buckshot, a Hobie 16 capsized early in the "wash tub" leg of race
and righted itself to cross the finish line first with the remarkable time
of 31:44. Next race is February 25th, all local and visiting yachtsman are

Wrecker's Race Results
Perfect sailing conditions
prevailed for the second race of the Schooner Wharf Wrecker's Cup Race
Series. Racers enjoyed a beam reach out of the same tack for a straight
run to Sand Key Lighthouse. Winds were blowing 12 knots out of the south
east with 2-3 foot choppy seas and plenty of turtle sightings. Local and
visiting yachtsmen are welcome to join the regatta the last Sunday of

March Wrecker's Race Results
The third race of our island's
Schooner Wharf Wrecker's Cup Race Series was held on Sunday,
March 25th. Sailors enjoyed mostly sunny skies, aqua marine water, 10-12
knots of wind at race start calming to 8 knots. Several pods of dolphins
were sighted playing the waters off Sand Key as well as sea turtles
surfacing and diving. To experience being part of the "Wrecker's fleet"
