Schooner Wharf Bar will surrender the booty
� for the best pirate costume at its annual Pirates Ball and Pig Roast on
Saturday, April 25th at 7 p.m.
The Yo Ho Ho-ing begins with the Pirates� Costume Contest, with prizes for
Best Wench, Best Buccaneer, Best Bustier, and Cutthroat Surprise.
Of course, bottles of rum are up for
grabs. |
Sea shanties, sword play and
swashbuckling will be provided by Key West�s own band of pyrates,
The Conch Republic Privateers. The troupe in full pirate garb will
provide engaging antics and entertainment while you enjoy the Pirates�
Costume competition.
In addition to the liquid libation prizes, other winners will receive
passage aboard Spirit of Independence and Schooner America 2.0, great
water adventures aboard Sunset Watersports and Sebago Watersports, also
booty from the Schooner Wharf Bar treasure chest.
The popular annual succulent pig roast with all the fixins� will be
served up by the galley crew in addition to regular menu items.

The Sparky Jones Band will make their Key West debut at our Pirates Ball &
Costume Competition. Sparky is highly regarded for his Delbert McClinton
performance tribute which consists of great up tempo jump blues and you�ll
also want to sway to his reggae. Massai is featured on African percussion,
and on African style guitar is the blistering technique and rhythmic style
of Yan Agbo. Rounding out the band is harmony singer and multi reed player
Marty Stonely, playing world beat styles on his flutes and saxophones. The
band is fresh and fun, Don�t miss em� See you there
