Take a deep breath and blow... at the annual Kick-Off Party for the Conch Republic Independence Celebration at Schooner Wharf Bar on April 18, 2008 at 7:00 p.m.

Compete with other local blowhards in the Conch Shell Blowing Contest, or just let freedom roar with fun and friendship.

Prizes are given for the longest and hardest blow of the conch shell, as well as the most musical blow. So be one of the six winners to go home with Goody Bags courtesy of Conch Republic Rum, Sail Trips from Key West's Flagship Schooner Western Union, and Treasures compliments of Schooner Wharf Bar.

Dance to the best music our island has to offer. The Schooner Wharf Galley will satisfy your appetite with native cuisine such as cracked conch, conch chowder, and conch fritters. Patriotic Conch Republic T-shirts will be available, along with Schooner Wharf merchandise.

There is a reason the Schooner Wharf Bar is the Official Headquarters of the CRIC, it's where locals feel at home and visitors feel local.

CARIBBEAN QUEEN JUNKANOO BAND - A Key West Bahamian processional band. The Caribbean Queen Junkanoo Band play the traditional instruments of drums, cowbells, whistles and horns in celebration of festive music and colorful costumes.
7:30 p.m. - 8:30 p.m.

CAFFEINE CARL & THE BUZZ, featuring ROBERT ALBURY – A Key West favorite, hard-driving classic rock, jazz and blues band. Enjoy an evening of toe tapping, body-moving fun and see what the buzz is all about!
