LIGHTED BOAT PARADE RESULTS

The much anticipated Schooner Wharf Bar/Captain Morgan Rum Lighted Boat Parade took place on Saturday, December 13th. There was a fleet of 29 vessels ranging from a 16’ solar power vessel to a 125’ Schooner that dazzled the community with their creativity and originality.

The 25’ M/V Miss Quin Key with Captain Del and Marge Asburn were the judges choice for First Place. The Ashurn’s “Going Green” design had multicolored lights spinning and twirling that switched to green in front of Schooner Wharf and spun and twirled some more --- to everyone’s delight.

Second Place was captured by Mike and Peggy Bankester on the S/V Independence.

Finishing Third was the Grinch for Peace on The Schooner Western Union who stole all our hearts!
