CINCO
DE MAYO
Fiesta, Amigo!
Lick
the salt from your hand, or shove a lime into a Corona at the annual Cinco
de Mayo Fiesta at Schooner Wharf Bar on Friday May 5, 2006 (obviously.)
Give your tongue a South of the Border searing in the Hot Taco Eating
Contest ---a timed competition to see who can eat 3 Schooner Wharf Tacos,
down a shot of 1800 Tequila, eat a hot jalapeno and finish a Corona in the
least amount of time. If you haven’t had enough heat --- there is also a
Hot Pepper Eating Contest (icy cold liquid fire extinguishers will be on
hand)
DJ Senor Bill Hoebee will
offer color commentary of the contest during a live remote broadcast for Wail
99.5.
Or
you can win a prize for the best Mexican hat while sipping cheap Corona, 1800
margaritas while listening to hot Latino music.
Sizzling hot salsa &
meringue music by the dynamic Grupo Azucar featuring Dayami can be heard from
7 p.m. till midnight, to complete the fiesta. The rhythm of Latino salsa and
boleros is a guarantee to get you up to mambo, samba & lombata with all the
other Cinco de Mayo celebrants. Miquel has played with the renowned Ry Cooder
and Latin superstar Cachao, diva Dayami has been voted best singer in Miami
several times. It’s a show not to me missed.
Peppers, prizes, piñata's, plus special prices on Corona beer, 1800 margaritas
add up to CINCO de MAYO at Schooner Wharf Bar.
For more information, please call Schooner Wharf at 292-3302.
